Over 16,500 Students From The UK Participate in ACES
Submitted by Fiona Davidson, UK Country Coordinator
Derbyshire is a semi-rural county in the heart of the Midlands. We have 425 schools in total across the county. When I first came across the ACES program, I thought that it would be nice to get a few schools involved, and then spread the word through the Health Promoting Schools network to develop the project in the future. I had 25 schools in mind, but with registration forms still coming in we have had an amazing response. Already, we have over 100 schools and over 16,500 students committed to undertake ACES. We have every type of school involved also from the smallest primary school (ages 5 to 11), the largest secondary schools (ages 11-16), and special schools.
