Did you read the article found on the ABC home page located here. The article was posted from the LA Times. I just posted a nasty comment, which I am sure the moderator will edit. Voice your opinion here.

Thanks for the link - I read it and it pissed me off. I posted a comment as well and I see it was not edited.

it wouldn't post my comment, so I wrote him a nice letter. It had a couple of spelling errors, but I encouraged him to do a bit more research. I didn't even sound angry, which for me is pretty surprising.

Thanks for the article tip and I'll post again if he responds

I just posted too. What a jerk.

I couldn't Peter. I tried but I kept getting that sick feeling in my tummy (which could have been the Tamiflu).

Part of me hopes that these people just thrive on attention and if I ignore them, they will go away.

Interesting to read some of the comments on this authors page! Some very insensitive comments.

Kind of like reading the abbreviated version of the Peanut Free page LOL (okay, sorta but it still hurts).

I'm glad I didn't post a comment because comments were made stupidly because of those comments. I am working and reworking an email I want to send to the Joel Stein and his publisher. Will probably post here. Sadly any comments made seem to be "proving" his point in the eyes of the readers.

This is very true. There is always strength in numbers - unfortunately, we are the minority with little voice, and the majority's voice will be louder. He is not an idiot, and probably new this before he wrote it. Just a lack of sensitivity in his words, and controversial enough to sell papers. Sadly, in the media, controversy sells.

If his child had the allergy at a severe level, you know he would deeply regret writing this article.
