I've been meaning to write you for several years to thank you for the incredible contribution you have made to our profession through Project ACES. Seeing your post on NASPE-Talk today has finally spurred me to action! I am personally very grateful for your development of a great idea into a world wide movement. When I taught in the elementary school, we participated each year (my best idea ever was to have the principal schedule a fire drill at that time so that everyone would already be outside. --win, win... no one complained about the fire drill and everyone was ready for some activity when they got outside). At the University, the Project ACES site is always included on our Web Quest assignments. Students plan what they will do with their classes on ACES day and participate with local schools. Lots of people have good ideas, but special people develop those ideas into quality events that change the world. Thanks for being one of those special people! Thanks for all you have done for our profession!
